Pacitti Company Announce New Think Tank Events

After a spring season of enriching Reading Rooms and engaging Salon discussions, Pacitti Company has revealed their Think Tank events for May – June 2016.

What goes on behind the scenes at the Ipswich Museum? Hear from a selection of people who work there to find out more about what they do and who they are. Tea Talks are a series of public discussions between artist Robert Pacitti and different members of the Ipswich Museum team, over afternoon tea.

Tea Talks promise relaxed yet engaging afternoon activities. Members of the public are invited to hear structured discussions, before being invited to join in and ask questions. By exploring topics such as conservation, what drives Museum staff, their favourite Museum items, or the role of history in contemporary life, the Tea Talks will bring life at the Museum out into the community in new ways and encourage new conversations around the Ipswich collection.

These Tea Talks are for anyone with an interest in Ipswich, museums, people, heritage, research, or even just good tea and cake.

Tea Talks will take place on Wednesday 4th / 11th / 18th May from 3pm to 4.30pm. Tickets are £5.

On Fri 3rd June, Pacitti Company will provide a free open day – Screening Room – an alternative public library. Over the years they have accumulated a great moving image library of videos related to live art, performance, ritual, politics and lots more besides. Come and browse, watch, and generally treat yourself to a day of brain food in and around their beautiful building. DVD players are available or bring your own laptop to view media.
