The Love Gala Update

Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and My WiSH Charity, who support West Suffolk Hospital, are delighted to present a gala evening of cabaret, comedy, West End show routines and celebrity guests as a joint fundraiser to support Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds and West Suffolk Hospital’s new cardiac unit (Sun 25 Mar).

As well as the previously announced line-up, including Alex Jennings, Robert Glenister, Frankie Dettori and Yvonne Howard, as well as stars of the West End stage, we are thrilled to now announce our compere for the evening.

Fresh from his last ever performance as a Dame, pantomime legend Christopher Biggins will be our master of ceremonies, hosting the evening as only he can. With his larger than life personality, the ‘King of The Jungle’ will preside over this fun-filled unmissable evening. Chris has appeared in many British television classics and in theatre from Shakespeare to musicals all over the world. With his warmth and personality he was crowned King Of The Jungle in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here and is a regular guest on a variety of TV programmes.

Also appearing, we can announce, will be Chris Clarkson – after his fabulous and universally loved performance as Dame Winona Whittington in Dick Whittington we’ve persuaded him to come back for this very special evening, where you’ll be able to catch more of his magic on stage in marvellously entertaining musical and dance numbers. Chris has an impressive wealth of theatre credits to his name including a string of pantomimes all around the country, he is also a regular on TV and has been a guest presenter on BBC’s The One Show.

The event takes place on Sun 25th March. Tickets for this special gala event include a pre-show reception starting at 6.30pm. There will also be some tickets available for a post-show reception on stage where you will be able to meet the performers – availability for this will be strictly limited, so move fast to guarantee your place.
