Tribute Artists at The Apex

There’s a packed programme of tribute bands at The Apex this summer…

On 12 July, Purple Zeppelin will pay tribute to two of the greatest rock bands of all time, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. They recreate the excitement and raw energy generated by those incredible musicians in a full-on show with more than 30 classic songs.

If you enjoyed the fun and flamboyance of the 1980s, you’re sure to enjoy Reformation & Fascination in Suburbia on 14 July. Love Distraction is the UK’s number one official tribute to The Human League, with hits including ‘Don’t You Want Me’, ‘Keep Feeling Fascination’ and ‘Love Action (I Believe in Love)‘. The Spandau Ballet Story bring favourites such as ‘To Cut a Long Story Short’, ‘Highly Strung’ and ‘Through the Barricades’. Portraying the Pet Shop Boys to perfection, Alternative perform ‘West End Girls’, ‘It’s a Sin’, ‘Go West’, ‘Always on My Mind‘ and many more.

Although nothing to do with the film of the same name, The Rocket Man (18 July) is also a tribute to Sir Elton John. Jimmy Love and his live band journey down the Yellow Brick Road with dazzling costumes, sensational piano solos and two hours of hits, from ‘Crocodile Rock’ to ‘Your Song’.

The Bon Jovi Experience (19 July) are the only tribute to have been featured on Bon Jovi’s official website and to have performed live on stage with Jon Bon Jovi himself, who declared they are “the best tribute I’ve ever seen“!

Voted into the Top 5 must-see tribute bands by Classic Rock Magazine, Viva Santana (20 July) features Spanish guitar wizard Marcos Rodriguez and a full line up to match Santana’s Abraxas days. Expect classy guitar licks over danceable percussion, as the band roll their way through ‘Samba Pati’, ‘Black Magic Woman’, ‘Changes’, ‘Soul Sacrifice’, ‘Oye Como Va’, ‘Smooth’ and other highlights from Santana’s 30 year career.

On 29 July, ELO Experience bring their tribute to The Electric Light Orchestra, complete with a sensational string section, a stunning light show and large screen projections.

They might not have been ‘Born in the USA’, but each member of The Sound of Springsteen (23 August) has toured and recorded with some of the biggest names in the music industry and been chosen for this band because of their unique abilities and an undeniable love for the music of The Boss.

With great singing, breath-taking dance moves and replica outfits, We Love Little Mix (27 August) is a high-energy show from beginning to end. Starting at 6pm, it is suitable for all ages and includes songs such as ‘DNA’, ‘Wings’, ‘Salute’, ‘Black Magic’, ‘Love Me Like You’, ‘Secret Love Song’ and many more.
