U.Dance 2016

U.Dance 2016, the nation’s youth dance festival is officially on its way!

The event takes place at The Lowry, Salford Quays (Manchester) between 8-10th July.

To celebrate the countdown, everyday over the next 30 days, they’ll be sharing 30 vlogs, in which 30 young people, taking part in this year’s festival, share their thoughts on dance, what it means to them and why it matters.

Their first vlog, introduces us to Millie Smith, age 15, a dancer at the CAT at The Lowry, who says “Dance is my home away from home”. You can watch her vlog here.

To take a look at and follow the vlogs, keep check on the U.Dance Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages over the next 30 days.

With 450 young dancers, 48 workshops and six performances, U.Dance is the country’s biggest youth dance celebration and will see an exciting mix of dance styles and approaches being showcased.

U.Dance presents a unique opportunity to see the most exciting youth dance talent from across the country.
