Upbeat Contemporary Choir

Upbeat Contemporary Choir will perform a fundraising concert for East Anglian Air Ambulance at The Apex on Saturday 2nd June.

The concert will showcase the choir’s exciting style, with a superb selection of songs sung by the whole choir, soloists and small groups.

Directed by Andrea King, the choir has over 80 members, who perform several charity concerts throughout the year; together they have raised over £14,000 for various charities.

Throughout her extensive music career, Andrea has been the director of many choirs. At Upbeat, Andrea focuses on confidence building through vocal performance. All levels of ability are welcome, and through Andrea’s buoyant personality, choice of songs (ranging from folk to reggae and pop to show songs) and enthusiasm she helps everyone to find their inner voice. Upbeat Contemporary Choir’s last concert at the Apex raised an impressive £2940 for Help for Heroes. This concert will raise vital funds for East Anglian Air Ambulance.

The East Anglian Air Ambulance is a helicopter emergency medical service covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk (Registered charity no: 1083876). Each mission costs, on average, £3,500.
