With a wonderful comedy show that guarantees to make its audience laugh out loud, Kepow! Theatre Company present Whose Story Is It Anyway? – a show celebrating the power of the human imagination. Kevin and Abi borrow objects and true stories from their audience in order to create touching and suspenseful scenes, full of action, adventure and plenty of laughs.
Kepow! are one of Britain’s funniest, most creative theatre companies and the performers Kevin Tomlinson and Abigail Hood are now recognised as two of the UK’s leading comic improvisers. Their improvisation shows have toured the world to great critical acclaim and have been seen in 14 different countries on 4 continents.
Kevin Tomlinson is one of Britain’s leading experts on mask and improvisation and one of the best performers in this field of work. As well as being one of the founding members of the company, Kevin has worked with the legendary Keith Johnstone (author of Impro), has performed alongside the cast of Whose Line Is It Anyway? and starred with Jonathan Pryce in the Royal Court Theatre production of Micetro.
Abigail Hood was born and raised in Bury St Edmunds and made her Theatre Royal debut in a pantomime when she was 9. She trained at Middlesex University and the Oxford School of Drama, with theatrical credits including That Face (Royal Court), Faultlines (Union Theatre), Weapons of Happiness (Finborough Theatre) and she made her television debut in an episode of The Bill.
This is their fourth visit to Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, following the huge success of their previous shows: Seven Ages, On the Edge and Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Whose Story Is It Anyway? is episodic in structure so all the scenes will stand on their own, however by the end of the show they will all be beautifully woven together like a patchwork quilt.
